The Impact: 3.5x growth in MQLs and 2x in monthly organic traffic

In the highly competitive Project Management SaaS niche, standing out in search engine rankings is a significant challenge. Our client, an upcoming player in this space, was determined to grow their organic traffic and maintain rankings for their most important keywords.
After previous link-building efforts yielded subpar results, they partnered with us to implement a more effective strategy. Over one year, from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024, we worked together to achieve impressive growth in their organic traffic.
The Goal: Land Quality Backlinks to Maintain Rankings
The client faced several challenges in their quest to dominate the search engine results for their core keywords. They had previously worked with other link-building services that provided low-quality links, primarily from domains with DR 40-50. These links were from sites that raised red flags, with content that didn’t seem written by or for humans.
The client needed to grow their organic traffic and maintain or improve their rankings for important keywords, all while avoiding the pitfalls of low-quality link building.
How We Doubled Their Traffic and Conversions:
-
Competitor Backlink Analysis:
To build links that would truly make a difference, we began by identifying the competitors currently ranking for the client’s core keywords. We analyzed their backlink profiles to create a shortlist of link-building opportunities that could help our client gain a competitive edge. -
Industry Deep Dive:
We conducted an in-depth exploration of the industry to identify high-authority sites relevant to our client’s niche. This research allowed us to add to the targeted shortlist of potential link opportunities that align with the client’s goals. -
Strategic Outreach:
For publications we already had existing relationships with, such as high-authority sites like Envato, we reached out to editors to share relevant content from the client. We also explored opportunities for the client to contribute resources to upcoming content pieces. For sites where we didn’t have prior connections, we focused on building relationships that would lead to high-quality links. Our strategy involved a 20/80 split between guest posts and niche edits, with a strong emphasis on domain-level and page-level relevancy. -
Regular Client Updates:
Throughout the campaign, we kept the client in the loop through regular check-in videos and email communication. They could also see a live report of their link-building progress on our portal. This approach ensured the client was always aware of what was happening without spending time and energy in meetings or manually following up on progress.

The Results: 100% increase in organic monthly traffic
By the end of our campaign, their organic traffic had grown from 14,381 visits to 28,491 visits, according to Ahrefs data—a noteworthy 100% increase.
Here are the key results from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024:
• 12 high-quality links built per month
• 3.5x increase in monthly organic leads!
• Organic traffic grew from 14,381 visits to 28,491 visits (2x increase)
• No increase in DR (already high)
• Zero time commitment from their team so they could focus on other aspects of the business
For the campaign, we built a total of 212 links with negligible time commitment from their team. They could focus on other things knowing their backlinks are in safe hands. That’s how our strategic link-building campaign significantly boosted the client’s online visibility and engagement.
